Has your company been doing business for 50 years or longer?
If so, we’d like to hear about it for inclusion in The Business Ledger’s 15th anniversary issue on April 14.
Contributing writer Sherri Dauskurdas is compiling a list of the oldest companies or business associations (such as chambers of commerce) in the west, northwest and southwest suburbs.
We already have a preliminary list of companies that have a lot going for them, longevity-wise, including one that’s 120 years old, and two chambers of commerce at the century mark. But we want to include as many as possible.
Key factor is that the company’s headquarters be in our suburban coverage area, regardless of where it was founded.
Dauskurdas will then write “mini-profiles” of the oldest of these firms for that special section.
To submit information for your company, visit www.thebusinessledger.com and click on the DataBank “Add Data” button at the top of the page. Fill out the basic information and check the “Oldest Companies” box. Then complete the survey for the list. The submission deadline is March 20.
If your firm is one of the oldest of the old, we’ll contact you for additional information.
If you have questions, e-mail Dauskurdas at sdauskurdas@thebusinessledger.com or call Business Ledger editor Don Kopriva at 630-428-8788 or e-mail him at dkopriva@thebusinessledger.com.
