ELMHURST—Desert Rose Design, Inc., has received 11 award certificates for multiple submissions in the 2007 American Graphic Design Awards. Winning submissions in the national competition are eligible for publication in the GDUSA Design Annual, a 300-page special edition of Graphic Design USA’s monthly magazine.

CHICAGO—LaSalle Bank has received three national excellence awards in the 2007 Greenwich Associates’ Business Banking Excellence Awards. LaSalle was recognized in the categories of Overall Business Banking Services, Branch Services, and Business Bankers. The awards are based on the results of the Greenwich Associates' 2007 Business Banking program, a biennial survey of companies with revenues between $1 and $10 million. This year's survey included interviews with more than 22,000 small businesses in 77 different markets.

DOWNERS GROVE—Perma-Seal Basement Systems has received multiple honors from the annual Basement Systems Convention in Hartford Conn. The firm was recognized as the 2006-2007 Top Dealer of Basement Systems and received the 2006/2007 Business Integrity Award. More than 300 network dealerships throughout North America, the United Kingdom and Ireland were in the competition.
Print Perfect moves
BATAVIA—Print Perfect has moved to 431 N. Raddant Road. The firm was founded nearly 20 years ago in a one-car garage in Aurora by Frank Babich and Roger Lauger. It now serves as a full service commercial printing and design company.
New restaurants in Aurora
AURORA—River Street Bistro and Market, a wine bistro, Kona Café, a Polynesian coffee house, and Jimmy John’s Gourmet Sandwich Shop will open at the River Street Plaza, a mixed-use project under development along the Fox River in downtown Aurora, at the projects completion.

ST. CHARLES—Ginger’s Gift Gallery has opened at 1980 W. Main Street. Ginger's Gift Gallery has been in business for 16 years in St. Charles. The store began at the 3rd Street Shops and then expanding into the Hotel Baker. From there it moved to the Charlestowne Mall and has now expanded into the new location at the West Towne Market.
