Agency receives awards

Thomas Interior Systems

marks 30 years

BLOOMINGDALE—Thomas Interior Systems, a full-service office planning and furnishings firm, is celebrating its 30th anniversary. Since its founding in 1977, Thomas has completed more than 20,000 successful interior furnishing projects in the Chicago area. During a recent open house at its new showroom, the company unveiled a new video showcasing some of the best installations.

The highlight of the tour, the newly designed 80,000-square-foot showroom and distribution facility serves as an everyday workspace for the company’s associates, but was available during the event for attendees to try out and review the workstations, products and material samples.

The showroom provides an extensive array of workstations, private offices, meeting areas, collaborative spaces and break areas featuring furnishings from a variety of manufacturers — all designed with an emphasis on workflow, ergonomics and aesthetics and Creating a Great Place to Work.

Incredible Technologies

buys video game studio

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS—Incredible Technologies—already the largest manufacturer of coin-operated games in the U.S.—has recently acquired State Street Games, a video game development studio based in Carol Stream.

“Although some industry experts are forecasting a slowdown, we’re expecting a strong period of growth during the next few years,” says IT President and CEO Elaine Hodgson. “We’re very excited about this acquisition. SSG will help us get our products to market faster, while bringing fresh ideas to IT.”
