BANKING/FINANCE

Frank Slocumb, district executive for Harris Bank’s South District, has announced his retirement from the Harris after 35 years with the company. Slocumb served previously as president of Harris Bank Naperville and Southwest Regional President and as a member of many philanthropic boards of directors. Last year he was recognized with the first-ever Community Leadership Award for his outstanding service to local communities and for his leadership in encouraging others to get involved. In his retirement, Slocumb has agreed to serve on the board of the Harris Bank Naperville.

Rachel Shaw Callahan has been appointed vice president, human resources at Leaders Bank of Oak Brook.

Robert Beishuizen was recently named vice president, commercial banking at MB Financial Bank in Rosemont.

CHAMBERS/ORGANIZATIONS

John R. Quigley, president and CEO of the Elmhurst Chamber of Commerce & Industry, has received the 2007 Chairman’s Award.

EDUCATION

Roosevelt University President Chuck Middleton has been elected to a two-year term as chairman of the Federation of Independent Illinois Colleges and Universities.

MANUFACTURING/ENGINEERING

John Morehead will assume the role of vice president of Strategic Planning & Marketing for Bison Gear & Engineering Corp. of St. Charles. Todd Lucich has joined Bison as vice president of the sales organization.

NON-PROFITS

Joanne Mitrenga has been hired as director of development for the DuPage Community Foundation.

REAL ESTATE

Philip E. Elworth has joined Oak Brook-based Mid-America Development Partners. He is assuming the newly created position of CFO.

Scott Marshall has been promoted to vice president of industrial leasing in Duke Realty Corporation’s Chicago office in Rosemont.
