Aurora CVB earns two awards
The Aurora Area Convention and Visitors Bureau has received two Illinois Governor’s Awards, which honored work from the 2007 calendar year. One was for best piece in alternative advertising for the Aurora Area Getaway pull-up shade and best radio in the audio/visual category. The radio entry comprised a 60-second radio ad designed to drive shoppers to the Aurora Area for the holidays.
TransTech now Mother Network
TransTech Consulting Services in Itasca, a provider of IT-managed services, has changed its name to Mother Network Guardians. A new logo and other branding elements will accompany the name change.
Lisle CVB honored
The Lisle Convention & Visitors Bureau received a tourism marketing award from the Illinois Governor’s Conference for its lure brochure, which highlights Lisle’s continuing practice of supporting “green” environments.
National Bank opens Elgin office
The National Bank has opened a full-service banking office at 1881 Larkin Ave.
CDH receives award
Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield has been named one of the Top 100 Hospitals in the U.S. by Thomson, a national health care information company. The award recognizes excellence in overall hospital performance.
Chamber announces honorees
The West Suburban Chamber of Commerce and Industry has named Dean Rouso of Prime Property Partners the chamber’s business leader of the year, and recognized the following for excellence in business: Abloom Floral & Gifts, Stephanie Pinkowski; McCook Athletic Exposition Center, Wes Rehwoldt and Fred Barofsky; Republic Bank, Paul Guagenti; and Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, Bruce and Jean Kuhn. They will be honored at the chamber’s upcoming annual banquet.
