Tinley Park takes Best Place in America honors
Tinley Park has been named the Best Place in America to Raise Kids by “Business Week” magazine, which analyzed 800 communities across the U.S. for such factors as school performance, affordability, safety, cost of living and more.

Berwyn honored for publications
Berwyn Development Corporation (BDC) has been honored by the Illinois Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives, winning first place for its 2008 Annual Report and honorable mentions for its quarterly newsletter and membership brochure. The BDC also was recognized for its efforts to produce nearly all its materials in both English and Spanish.

Hinsdale architect receives national ranking
DLA Architects, Ltd. has been ranked the 35th largest architecture firm in the U.S. for K-12 construction by “Building Design and Construction” magazine. The Hinsdale-based firm also was recognized for being the 41st largest firm for state and local government projects, and one of the 150 largest green design firms in the country.

Naperville travel agency honored
Hobson Travel of Naperville has been named to a list of top travel agents in the world by “Travel and Leisure” magazine. This is the second year in a row the agency received this recognition.

Deerfield-based Mann.Weitz and Associates, LLC has been named one of the 2009 Best Accounting Firms to Work For by “Accounting Today” magazine.

Portillo’s opens in Bolingbrook
The Portillo Restaurant Group has opened its newest location, an 8,800 square-foot dining facility at the northeast corner of Boughton Road and Rt. 53, in Bolingbrook.

Therapy offices open in Park Ridge
Vive! Therapeutic Massage has opened in Park Ridge, at 1416 S. Canfield Drive. Also opening in Park Ridge is AthletiCo, an Illinois based physical and occupational therapy service. Its newest of 54 centers is located at 800 Devon Ave.

Tinley Park clinic to expand
Pronger Smith MedicalCare is expanding its Tinley Park location at 17495 LaGrange Road to include nearly 38,000 square-feet of MRI, CT, physical therapy and treatment rooms, as well as expanded obstetric and pediatric facilities. The expansion is expected to be complete in July 2010.

H&R Bock comes to St. Charles
H&R Block is opening its newest location in St. Charles, at 1860 W. Main Street.
