WEST CHICAGO—Packaging, Inc., manufacturers and marketers of packaging supplies for the food and horticulture industries, has moved to larger quarters at 333 Charles Court.
Village of Woodridge recognized
WOODRIDGE—The village of Woodridge has been ranked 61st on Money Magazine’s Top 100 Places to Live in the U.S.A. for 2007. The criteria for the list is determined by financial information, housing, education, quality of life, leisure, culture, weather, health and community diversity. Woodridge was one of only four Illinois communities to receive the recognition.
Adare Ventures founded
OAK BROOK—Adare Ventures LLC, a full-service intermediary firm that works exclusively with CEOs and business owners, has been established by Deborah House, who will be CEO, and Erik Davison. The firm will focus on helping privately-held middle market companies create and develop their corporate wealth, primarily through acquisitions.
Central States honored
BENSENVILLE—Central States Trucking has received the 2006 Fleet Safety Award from Acuity Insurance and A.N. Ansay and Associates. Central States is a third-generation owned company that employs 300 and operates 200 trailers.
Elmhurst Art Museum marks milestone
ELMHURST—The Elmhurst Art Museum has marked its 10th anniversary in its award-winning building. The museum has served 300,000 visitors during that time period. The non-profit was established in 1980, but did not have its own building until 1997.
Frank’s Employment observes 50 years
ST. CHARLES—Frank’s Employment Inc. has marked 50 years in business. Frank’s provides both temporary and permanent placement services.
Openings
NAPERVILLE--ULTA, a beauty salon, has opened at 103 S. Washington Street.
LOMBARD—Harry Caray’s Italian Steakhouse and Holy Mackerel have opened at the Westin Lombard, 70 Yorktown Center. The two restaurants also offer 6,000 square-feet of banquet space.
BOLINGBROOK--All-American diner-style restaurant Johnny Rockets has opened at The Promenade Bolingbrook. This marks the fifth Chicago-area Johnny Rockets location; additional restaurants also are located in Naperville, Northbrook, Skokie and on Rush Street.
NAPERVILLE—Thomasville, a home furnishing store, has opened at Route 59 and Brookdale Road. The store is owned an operated by the Emanuel family, a fourth-generation furniture dealer with more than 90 years experience in the Chicago area.
AURORA—Referral Marketing Solutions, a referral-based marketing firm, has opened.
