Patrick O’Neil, Will County coroner, was elected president of the Illinois Coroners and Medical Examiners Association in Joliet.

Don Thompson has been promoted from president of Oak Brook-based McDonald’s USA to president and chief executive officer, with oversight responsibility for the company’s 32,000 restaurants worldwide. In addition, Jan Fields has been promoted from executive vice president and COO to president, replacing Thompson, and Jim Johannesen has been promoted to executive vice president and COO.
Scott R. Hudson has been named president and chief executive officer for Itasca-based Gallagher Bassett Services, Inc., a property and casualty third-party claims administrator.

Julie Fulton of Mint Condition Wellness in Westmont has been appointed by the DuPage County Board to head a new wellness program for DuPage County employees.
